Restaurant Review in Dubai: Fraiche Cafe & Bistro

On my mission to make a list of perfect breakfast spots. Yesterday morning, Queenz and I paid a visit to Fraiche bistro due to its high rating and positive online reviews 😀

The venue is situated in JLT, so the plus points are: easy to find and there are several large parking lots nearby. The bistro was crowded at 10:45am, we were lucky to find a table by the window. We like the vintage, contemporary, urban, busy New York design style of brick walls, high ceilings, lighting, glass windows and a separate garden. We were greeted by a friendly waiter, despite the busy operation.

Queenz was not feeling so hungry so she ordered a french croissant with cappuccino (too french, perhaps), we were surprised by the humble and modest portion of the croissant and that the bread itself dominated and there was hardly any filling.

I ordered a breakfast surprise and it was very well-proportioned. I love LOVE the crispy french toast which was covered with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce *mouth-watering*. When the egg broke open, I had a small pleasure of watching the golden yolk spilling on top of the toast and under my knife. Love the soft taste of the eggs, the sweet fries, and the crispiness of the toast.

My Breakfast Surprise

The place is value for money, especially if you come hungry and want to have a breakfast buffet. It will only cost you 75 AED per person. Our bill consisting of a cappuccino, orange juice, breakfast surprise and croissant came with a price of around AED95 (sorry I could not remember the exact amount but it was higher than AED 90 and less than AED 100)

Anyways, so ratings for Fraiche Cafe & Bistro:
Food : 3.8/5 (a basic French bistro must perfect their croissant, in my personal opinion. Otherwise everything else was on-point)
Design: 4/5
Service: 5/5 (great attitude and prompt)

Much love from Dubai,

And yes I purposely wore beige and white to match with the urban design:P
