So I am “slightly” late in updating my journal, but better late than never 😀
Runway took place on 24th-26th November 2015. The event has entered its third season, showcasing the unique and creative designs by the local talents. I was impressed by the initial organisation of the event, limited invited guests which made it very exclusive and prompt in arranging the seat for every guest. The show started a bit late but, oh well, I am used to this.
We started off with last year’s winner – Aisha Thichathorn’s runway. Quite elegant for evening gowns.
Other runways which I found impressive were: 1) New Miuz and 2) Khatoon’s design which brought in a new flavour and culture to the show.
Pawan Seewooruttun’s New Miuz
So basically the design of Runway Dubai is like this, each designer and model individually competed to be crowned the winners. Here are some of the looks from the night I attended (25/11)
And the winner was the designer who is inspired by the landmarks of the world
Overall it was an adequate experience, the layout and organisation could have been more professionally designed. The best part was the gift bag with a spa voucher 🙂
I was wearing my favourite Naf Naf dress and matched with the red tone – HMxBalmain & Steve Madden combination 🙂 And no, I never had to queue the Suede clutch from the HMxBalmain collection 🙂
Much love from Dubai,
