Premier League’s new season 2016 – 2017 calls for an urging matter – where to watch?
My friends and I came across the Boston-themed O’learys Sports Bar during its soft opening in Dubai. The property was managed by Time Hotel Management with a clear family-focused and non-alcoholic approach. The concept enables O’learys to target multiple segments.
You can not miss the sight of this franchise. The spacious venue is well situated next to Ehithad Airways Travel, behind Noor Bank metro station, occupying around 500m2. Stepping in the “dry” Sports Bar was like wandering in Boston – where the green interior filled with memorabilia of local sporting heroes walked you down their memory lane.
For a Sports Bars, one of the most fundamental requirements is the quality of the TV screen. O’learys is quite well-equipped with more than 20 TVs, covering all main sporting events. On top of that, the game arcade will also entertain children.
We were seated by the staff who were very attentive to us. We started our meal with some chicken wings, cheesy quesadillas and cheese sticks.
We were already stuffed after being fed with such goodies! What I really appreciated was the fact that this platter was sufficient to share on a table of 4.
You immediately know the potential of a Sports Bar when you try their burgers. So I approached the wackiest, most unique offering on the menu – the spicy Ray’s hot chiller burger. To my surprise, the spiciness really did exceed the expectation. Pulled beef was cooked to perfection – juicy, and tender – served with jalapenos, hot chilly sauce and melted cheese. Several flavours were going on at the same time, spicy, fresh, meaty – very rich and complex.
I’d definitely return, and the next time, I will try their grill section!
Anyways, so ratings for O’learys (when I rate a restaurant, I compare it to the restaurants in the similar category)
Food : 4/5
Much love from Dubai,
